LISC engages residents in planning their neighborhood’s future through community meetings, focus groups, and leadership committees. These plans envision safe, vibrant neighborhoods offering a range of quality housing choices, positive learning environments, and economic opportunity.

LISC pools resources to implement a neighborhood’s vision by coordinating philanthropic, private and public capital for target real estate development – housing, childcare and educational facilities, and neighborhood retail. This enables us to leverage funds with far greater reach and impact than would be possible through individual effort.
